Ek_Bacharach by Elme Bekker 2011 SAFW Range Sells On Carnet De Mode
Another big news for a South African designer, Elme Bekker, as her 2011 (SAFW) South African Fashion Week range were chosen to be sold on Carnet de Mode, a Paris based platform for selected fashion designers.
The first collection for Ek_Bacharach was shown at South Africa Fashion Week in March 2011 by Elme Bekker as part of a sponsorship package by Elle Magazine, Mr Price and SAFW for Elle New Talent 2010. The range was received with a high level of press and editorial exposure.
"We are currently enjoying interest from shopping platforms such as Carnet de Mode in France (www.carnetdemode.com ) and NJAL in Great Brittain (www.notjustalabel.com). We consider this opportunity a great step up as most of these online shops feature industry influentials such as Robin Schulié (head buyer of the iconic Maria Luisa Store in Paris) and cult-favourite blogger Diane Pernet as guest curators."
Congratulations to Elme Berker and keep the South African flag flying high!!! From www.ilovefashionandstyle101.blogspot.com we wish you all the best!!!
